This Privacy Policy describes how DrawShadow ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using DrawShadow, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

DrawShadow does not require account registration. You can use the App fully anonymously.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device identifiers — a randomly-generated install UUID, device model, manufacturer, OS version, app version, locale, and country code (derived from device locale settings only — no GPS).
  • Usage analytics — basic counters such as number of trace sessions, drawings opened, and last-active timestamp. This data is aggregated and never tied to your real identity.
  • Crash reports — if the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic logs may be sent to help us fix bugs.

1.3 Information from device permissions

  • Camera — required for the live tracing feature. Camera frames are processed locally on your device only and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers.
  • Photos / Media — optional, used only when you choose to import your own image to trace. The selected image is processed on-device and never uploaded.
  • Flashlight — optional, used to brighten the tracing surface.
  • Internet — used to download drawing thumbnails, fetch app configuration, and serve advertisements.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's core features.
  • To understand how the App is used (aggregate analytics) and improve it.
  • To deliver and measure advertisements via Google AdMob and (optionally) Unity Ads / other ad networks.
  • To send optional push notifications about new drawings, daily challenges, or app updates.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

3. Advertising

DrawShadow is supported by advertising. We use the following ad networks:

These networks may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID), IP address, and limited interaction data to deliver personalized ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking from your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with:

  • Advertising networks listed above (for ad serving and measurement).
  • Push-notification providers (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — only the device token, never personal data.
  • Hosting and analytics providers strictly bound by data-processing agreements.
  • Law-enforcement authorities only when legally compelled.

5. Data Retention

Anonymous device records are kept for as long as the App is installed. You can fully erase all locally-stored data by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of any server-side records associated with your device ID, contact us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

DrawShadow is rated suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act 2023 in India, etc.), you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all network requests and secure server hosting. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted within the App.
